Personal Biography

I am a life-long resident of Grayslake.  I spent my first years in the apartments right off Center Street along the railroad and just behind “the Barn”.  I attended St. Gilbert School.  Soon after starting kindergarten, my parents moved the family to the active community of Quail Creek.

I attended Grayslake Community (Central) High School, graduating in the top five of my class in 1992.  Afterwards, I attended college at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, graduating with a Mechanical Engineer degree in 1996.

After college, I remained in Grayslake as I started my working career.  After several years, I had saved enough money for a decent down payment.  To remain in Grayslake was foremost on my mind, and I found a wonderful townhouse in Stratford on Avon, where I still live today.

Political Biography

Politics, elections, and governing have been an interest and passion of mine for many yearsI seriously contemplated going into Political Science, but engineering won in the end.

I have often sought and held positions of leadership, whether in Boy Scouts, the high school’s National Honor Society, the college dorm’s Residence Halls Association, or Village Trustee.  Being elected validates the respect of your peers.  However, serving in an elected position, affecting peoples lives in a positive manner, and shaping the future of your community is its own invaluable reward.

After staying in Grayslake after college, I knew I wanted to be on the Village Board.  I ran several times before being elected in 2005, and I proudly and effectively served until 2021.  In those years, I learned so much, and did so much for the citizenry of Grayslake.  After leaving the Village Board, I have had the pleasure to serve Chair for the Zoning Board of  Appeals and Plan Commission.

I am excited to once again be running for Trustee.
